It might sound like it's unnecessary to write down your numbers, but it's definitely important if you want to progress, the reason is because simply it's motivating! It's like competing against yourself to score higher numbers each time, and knowing how far you have gone,, the same thing applies to taking pictures of your body transformation! Also when you know your numbers it makes your workout fun and exciting, because you are in control, and you are attempting to achieve something you haven't achieved before, which will makes you more proud of yourself when you are done with your workout, also another great way to help keep track is to record videos of yourself to watch later, just don't try be a perfectionist though, push the record button and let things go naturally, also by making videos you are actually motivating other people, for that purpose i m attaching two videos of two of my favorite insanity the asylum strength routines while trying to beat my old numbers.
On the first video my goal was to beat 40 shoulder taps push-ups in 60 seconds twice, and my second video's goal was to beat my dumbbell rotations number which was 10, as you can see it wasnt easy but i did beat both records and now it's going to be more fun and challenging the next time!

If anyone is wondering, those are some TOUGH moves-- especially those dumbbell rotations. Nice job, brother.
Thanks Dan, indeed bro, Shaun T Strength workout combines both; resistance and Cardio which's tough.
